The Carlisle Wildcats placed fourth in Indianola on Thursday, September 24th. The girls were topped by three talented 4A teams. WDM Valley placed first with 26 points. Indianola placed second with 70 points, while Dowling Catholic placed third with 71 points. Carlisle's fourth-place score was an impressive 93 points- beating Ottumwa by nearly 50 points! Ames and Boone also attended the meet. The Erzen sisters both placed in the top ten in the varsity race. Ainsley won the meet, beating 4A No. 4-ranked Lauren Schulze of WDM Valley by eight seconds. Tessa finished in 10th place and also earned a medal. Rounding out the rest of the top-7 runners were Marie Dagget (23rd), Maya Bergstrom (29th), Laura Downs (30th), Riley Sievers (38th) and Ella Andersen (39th). Carlisle's No. 8 and 9 runners were also able to compete in the varsity Race. Sage Austin placed 53rd and Hannah McGraw placed 55th. Bella Pagel ran in the JV race and finished 76th. The Wildcats ran a good pack race! They will toe the line again at SEP on October 1.
