The Wildcats competed in 3 different races at the Heartland Classic in Pella on Sept. 18^th.  The races included many of the top 4A teams in Iowa, as well as ranked teams from Minnesota, Missouri, and Nebraska. The 9^th/10^th Boys started off the day placing 14^th out of 22 teams.  They were led by Talan Walstrom's 39^th place finish.  Also in the Top 100 for Carlisle were Ben Imhoff in 53rd, Cole Waterhouse in 77^th, and Ryan Rushing in 92^nd. In the next race, the JV Boys really shined by placing 8^th out of 25 teams! They were led by Keith Christenson's 27^th place finish and Zach Streeter in 30^th.  Also in the Top 100 for the JV squad were Ezra DeCleene in 47^th, Braedin Zondervan in 56^th, and Josh Lancaster in 65^th. In the final race of the day the Varsity Boys placed 33rd out of 42 teams. Mason Ramsey led that squad with a season's best 17:56 and 136^th place finish.  Also in the Top 200 were Brody Roth in 159^th, Brayden Kessler in 162^nd, and Brady Birkenholtz in 175^th. The Cats race again on Sept. 23 at Pickard Park in Indianola.
