The Wildcats competed in 3 different races at the Heartland Classic in Pella on Sept. 18th. The races included many of the top 4A teams in Iowa, as well as ranked teams from Minnesota, Missouri, and Nebraska. The 9th/10th Boys started off the day placing 14th out of 22 teams. They were led by Talan Walstrom's 39th place finish. Also in the Top 100 for Carlisle were Ben Imhoff in 53rd, Cole Waterhouse in 77th, and Ryan Rushing in 92nd. In the next race, the JV Boys really shined by placing 8th out of 25 teams! They were led by Keith Christenson's 27th place finish and Zach Streeter in 30th. Also in the Top 100 for the JV squad were Ezra DeCleene in 47th, Braedin Zondervan in 56th, and Josh Lancaster in 65th. In the final race of the day the Varsity Boys placed 33rd out of 42 teams. Mason Ramsey led that squad with a season's best 17:56 and 136th place finish. Also in the Top 200 were Brody Roth in 159th, Brayden Kessler in 162nd, and Brady Birkenholtz in 175th. The Cats race again on Sept. 23 at Pickard Park in Indianola.
