Wildcats Win Grinnell Invite Sept. 7

The Carlisle varsity boys won the Grinnell Invitational on Sept. 7.  The Cats tied Williamsburg with 74 points, but won on the tiebreaker (6th runner). Coming in third was Des Moines Christian with 80 points. 

Medaling for Carlisle were Chase Gach in 9th, Brady Birkenholtz in 13th, and Lincoln Eighmy in 15th.  Rounding out the varsity seven were Mason Ramsey in 19th, Zach Streeter in 20th, Brayden Kessler in 24th, and Kamden Brown in 29th.

The JV boys recorded a perfect score en route to the JV team title with 15 points.  Williamsburg and Des Moines Christian tied for 2nd with 78 points (Williamsburg won the tie breaker). The Cats grabbed 8 of the possible 10 medals, led by overall winner Logan Howard. Logan was followed by Raymond Birech in 2nd, Mattix Benefiel in 3rd, Brody Roth in 4th, Ezra DeCleene in 5th, Josh Lancaster in 7th, Braedin Zondervan in 8th, and Talan Walstrom in 10th

The Wildcats race again on September 13th at the Ballard Invitational.
