Wildcats are RRC Runners-Up!

The Wildcat placed second at the Raccoon River Conference Meet on Oct. 12 at the Iowa State cross country course in Ames.  No. 5 ranked North Polk won the meet with 32 points, 12 points fewer than No. 9 Carlisle's 32.  No. 11 ADM came in third with 83 points.  


The Wildcats had four first-team all-conference runners, led by Brandon Kesner in fifth place (16:53). Following Kesner were Kaden Sadler in sixth (16:55), Chase Gach in 10th (17:10), and Ethan Schlichte in 11th (17:11). Two Cats earned second-team all-conference: Brady Birkenholtz in 12th (17:12) and Brayden Kessler in 16th (17:22).  Also running well was Raymond Birech, who finished 36th (18:12). 


The JV Boys defended their RRC title with a meet-low 30 points. North Polk was second with 43 points and ADM was third with 68. The Wildcats were led by Lincoln Eighmy's second-place finish (17:27). He was followed in the top-10 by Mason Ramsey in fourth place (17:36), Brody Roth in sixth place (17:53), and Zach Streeter in seventh place (17:53). Also among the JV top-20 were Quinten Kessler in 11th place (18:21), Jeremiah Dronet in 13th place (18:26), Josh Lancaster in 19th place (18:36), and Ezra DeCleene in 20th place (18:44).


Twenty-four Wildcats recorded career-best times: Brandon Kesner, Kaden Sadler, Chase Gach, Ethan Schlichte, Brady Birkenholtz, Brayden Kessler, Lincoln Eighmy, Mason Ramsey, Brody Roth, Zach Streeter, Quinten Kessler, Jeremiah Dronet, Josh Lancaster, Ezra DeCleene, Sam Wilson, Ben Imhoff, Jayson Janssen, Cole Waterhouse, Braedin Zondervan, Aaron Parks, Conner Hansen, Tristin Hummel, Peter Gano, and Cory Crall!
