The Carlisle Wildcat boys' track & field squad completed in the Norwalk Coed Relays on Monday, April 11. Norwalk won the team title with 126 points followed closely by Carlisle (122.5), North Polk (120), and DCG (118). Other schools competing included Winterset (67 points), South Tama (57), Newton (45), Nevada (44.5), and Grinnell (37). Senior Archer Ogbourne hit the Drake Relays Blue Standard in the long jump. His jump of 22'9 automatically qualifies him for the Drake Relays and is just a half inch off the school record set by former state champion Damarcus Taylor in 2006.  Senior Kahle Rattray also had a big night in the ring where he won the shot put with a career best mark of 52'3.5. Rattray also won the discus with a career best mark of 140'4.5. These marks rank #3 and #9 on the CHS All-Time Top 10 lists. Other top 3 finishers included the sprint medley relay team of Devonte Link-Liam Smith-Jonathan Dunn-Braedin Zondervan (2nd), the shuttle hurdle relay team of Austin Follis-Joe Goodhue-Mark Mast-Ogbourne (2nd), Zondervan in the 400m dash (2nd), Charlie Schettler in the discus (3rd), Juni McPhee in the long jump (3rd), and Ogbourne in the 110m high hurdles (3rd), The Cats set season bests in 11 of 12 individual events and in 5 of the 7 relay events.
