Football Team Marches On With 49-7 Win Over DCG

A dominant ground attack led Carlisle to a 49-7 victory over Dallas Center Grimes in the second round of the postseason. The Wildcats never trailed as they scored on their first seven possessions of the game. Senior Nic Goodhue led Carlisle with 215 yards rushing, while senior quarterback Karson Dunn added 155 rushing yards. Junior Jonathon Dunn scored three touchdowns and added 80 yards on the ground. Carlisle piled up over 450 rushing yards in the game. The entire second half was played to a continuous clock. Dallas Center-Grimes quarterback Huston Halverson provided the only offense for the Mustangs on a 14-yard touchdown scramble. Halvorsen threw for 102 yards and two interceptions. DCG closes out the season 6-1, while Carlisle improves to 6-3 and will travel to Harlan Friday night.
