Girls are District Champs- Qualify 15 Events for State

The Carlisle girls track and field fulfilled a goal set in mid-April: to win the three remaining regular season invitationals, the conference championship, and the state qualifying team championship.  The final piece in accomplishing that goal came on the strength of another complete team effort.  For the 10th time in 11 meets, the Wildcats scored in all 19 events to outdistance a strong 3A field for the team title.  Fifteen of those 19 events would go on to qualify for the state track and field championships this coming weekend, breaking the record of 14 set last spring.  In addition to state qualifiers, a school record was broken for the sixth time this spring.  The shuttle hurdle relay squad of Morgan Lose (FR), Cam Mesecher (SO), Jocelyn Haack (SO) and Aricka Lambson (JR) ran a fantastic time of 1:07.09 to capture the district title.  The following events qualified for the state track and field meet and will compete at Drake Stadium this coming May 18-20:
