Carlisle overpowered Perry 62-19 in a Dec. 7 Raccoon River Conference game in Carlisle. The Wildcats improved to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the conference with the win. Carlisle opened up a 17-6 first-quarter lead then shut Perry down in the second quarter to push the advantage to 36-6 at halftime. Junior Kennedy Preston led Carlisle with a team-high 18 points with sophomore Sydney Berg adding 17 and junior Molly Hoekstra with 13. Junior Delaney Schnathorst scored seven, junior Kennady Prenosil three and senior Megan Sievers and sophomore Amelia Sinclair two each. Preston also led the team with seven assists with Sievers and Hoekstra each getting three and Prenosil, Berg and Schnathorst one each.
Hoekstra had a team-leading 11 rebounds with Berg getting nine, Sievers, Prenosil and Preston four each, senior Kasey Hockett three, sophomore Aubrey Furnal two and freshman Madi Watts one. Schnathorst had four steals with Sievers getting three, Berg two and Preston, Hoekstra and Hockett one each. PReston and Hoekstra also blocked three shots each.
Carlisle got 16 points each from Berg and Hoekstra in a 71-45 home win over Des Moines Lincoln on Dec. 3. Backing Berg and Hoekstra, Schnathorst added 11. Prenosil, Preston and Hockett each added eight points. Sievers and Furnal each had two.
